Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don named among Vietnam's Top 10 integrated tourism, resort and entertainment urban developments in 2026
On June 2, 2026, at the Second Vietnam National Real Estate Awards held in Hanoi and organized by the Vietnam National Real Estate Association (VNREA) under the direction and patronage of the Ministry of Construction, Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don was honored as one of the Top 10 Integrated Tourism, Resort and Entertainment Urban Developments in Vietnam 2026.

Having successfully passed the rigorous evaluation process conducted by the judging panel, the project not only reinforces its position as a landmark destination overlooking the heritage waters of Bai Tu Long Bay, but also demonstrates its readiness to address the growing demand for premium accommodation as it prepares to welcome visitors during the Summer 2026 tourism season.

A new catalyst for northern Vietnam's island tourism

The Second Vietnam National Real Estate Awards is regarded as one of the country's most prestigious industry awards, recognizing projects that create tangible value, contribute to local economic development, and unlock the growth potential of emerging destinations. To be selected among the Top 10 Tourism and Resort Developments, projects must undergo a comprehensive evaluation conducted by the Vietnam Institute for Real Estate Studies (VIRES), followed by extensive on-site inspections carried out by the judging panel.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Sinh, Deputy Minister of Construction, emphasized that the honored projects were recognized not only for their scale, investment capability, brand reputation, and business performance, but also for their contribution to creating better living environments, service ecosystems, and new development opportunities for communities, businesses, and society. According to the Deputy Minister, the achievements of these projects also reflect the real estate sector's strong governance capabilities, adaptability, innovation, commitment to green development, and aspirations for sustainable growth.

Against this backdrop, Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don's recognition represents more than an award for its developer. It also affirms a long-term strategic vision that anticipated the rapid growth of Northern Vietnam's marine tourism, with Van Don Special Zone emerging as one of the country's most promising new destinations.

Recent tourism statistics from the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism highlight this momentum. During the April 30 – May 3, 2026 holiday, Quang Ninh welcomed approximately 910,000 visitors, including more than 360,000 overnight guests, generating tourism revenue of VND 2.82 trillion. Van Don alone received 115,000 visitors - nearly double the figure recorded during the same period in 2025 while Ao Tien International Port operated at high capacity, serving nearly 19,500 passengers traveling to the islands of Bai Tu Long Bay.

This remarkable growth reflects the implementation of the Prime Minister's Master Plan for Van Don Economic Zone to 2040, which envisions Van Don as a diversified marine economic zone, a regional entertainment hub featuring integrated casino developments, and a premier marine tourism destination. Supported by preferential development policies and a comprehensive transportation network, including Van Don International Airport, regional expressways, and Ao Tien International Port the destination is increasingly attracting higher-spending travelers seeking longer and more immersive stays.

Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don is located adjacent to Ao Tien International Port - the gateway to exploring Bai Tu Long Bay.

This rapid tourism growth has created an urgent need for additional five-star accommodation in the region. Strategically located in the heart of Van Don's commercial and tourism district, Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding the destination's capacity to serve premium travelers while supporting the continued development of marine tourism.

A dual investment opportunity

The combination of refined architectural design and the developer's proven execution capability has established Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don as one of the most distinctive resort developments in Van Don's hospitality real estate market.

Phase 1, comprising Tower A (The Victory) and Tower B (The Oasis), was officially inaugurated at the end of 2025 and is currently completing its final preparations to welcome guests during Summer 2026. Meanwhile, Tower C (The Harmony) and Tower D (The Liberty), which form Phase 2 of the development, are progressing rapidly toward completion later this year.

Upon full completion, the integrated development will provide nearly 2,000 five-star Resort Apartments, significantly expanding Van Don's supply of premium accommodation.

Designed as an integrated tourism, hospitality, and entertainment destination, Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don embraces a sophisticated Quiet Luxury design philosophy that celebrates the distinctive natural beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay. The development offers a comprehensive all-in-one lifestyle ecosystem, accommodating a wide range of guest needs—from leisure, dining, shopping, and entertainment to remote working.

Guests will enjoy an extensive collection of amenities, including an International Convention Center designed for the growing MICE market, vibrant retail and entertainment streets, infinity swimming pools, and comprehensive spa and wellness facilities.

Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don offers a comprehensive all-in-one hospitality ecosystem, creating a complete destination experience on Bai Tu Long Bay.

One of the project's defining strengths is its seamless integration with the broader marine tourism ecosystem, allowing visitors to enjoy luxury cruises across Bai Tu Long Bay as well as premium itineraries such as "The Beauty of Van Don."

Equally significant is Everland's strategic partnership with Centara Hotels & Resorts, one of Asia's leading international hospitality brands. Beyond ensuring globally recognized five-star service standards, the partnership provides direct access to Centara's international distribution network, strengthening the project's ability to attract overseas visitors.

The development also plans to introduce a network of 24/7 commercial and entertainment streets, supporting the growth of Bai Tu Long Bay's nighttime economy in a manner comparable to successful tourism destinations such as Phuket and Bali. This strategy is expected to strengthen the destination's appeal to the rapidly growing MICE segment, a market characterized by higher spending, longer average stays, and lower seasonality, thereby generating sustainable operating revenue for the entire development.

Industry research consistently shows that MICE travelers typically spend two to three times more than leisure tourists, reinforcing the long-term commercial potential of this market segment.

For investors, recognition among Vietnam's Top 10 Tourism and Resort Developments serves as an important endorsement of Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don's long-term value proposition, offering both the potential for capital appreciation through ownership of premium coastal real estate and recurring income opportunities through professionally managed hospitality operations.

As Vietnam's marine tourism sector enters a new phase of accelerated growth, Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don continues to strengthen its strategic role within the broader development of Van Don and Bai Tu Long Bay. At the same time, opportunities to own a high-quality hospitality asset capable of delivering both long-term capital growth and sustainable operating returns are becoming increasingly attractive to forward-looking investors./.
